The Northern Road Stage 1 for RMS Western Sydney Project Office (WSPO)
The project: Construction works involve the conversion of the existing single carriageway road to dual carriageways and the provision of traffic signals at the intersections with Porrende Street/Fairwater Drive, Hillside Drive and Cobbitty Road West.

Contract Value: $57,687,000 (excluding GST), extended to over $80M by variation
Commencing work on site 18 February 2016, with Duration 102 weeks
The main construction contract work items include:
- Traffic management including staging,
- Environmental management including erosion and sedimentation control and vegetation,
- Clearing and grubbing including demolition of existing pavements and structures,
- Earthworks, embankment construction, subgrade preparation Selected Material Zone,
- Stormwater and subsurface drainage’
- Flexible and rigid pavement construction and resurfacing of existing pavements,
- New three span bridges approximately 46.5 metres long over Narellan Creek NB and SB,
- Extensive Utility adjustments, and
- 5km of Noise Walls.
PES is providing leadership of the site management team comprising:
- Principal’s Authorised Delegate
- Specialist programming and Claim Assessment
RMS team members: Two engineers, two Surveillance Officers and part time admin support.
